ABOUT THE MV SOUND series/FESTIVAL

Martha’s Vineyard SOUND is an annual festival of music, food and the arts on Martha's Vineyard produced by TPS Productions, held at Waban Park, in Oak Bluffs, across from the Town Beach every July. This year (2016), we will be taking a break from the outdoor festival, and are focused on the 'MV SOUND Series', which will be an event series at various venues around the Vineyard throughout the summer and fall. Musical acts will range from indie, rock, and folk, to reggae and more, appealing to a diverse set of tastes. All MV SOUND Series events will be listed on the events page of this website. MVS supports local food and business, and attempts to make each event as environmentally friendly as possible.

The 2015 lineup for the MV SOUND Fest held at Waban Park in Oak Bluffs included: The Ryan Montbleau Band, Parkington Sisters, Kenyatta Hill of Culture, Mieka Pauley, Dwight & Nicole, Dana Williams, Caroline Sky, Mike Benjamin Band, Will Dailey, Island Thunder Band, Fruit Flies, Johnny Hoy & The Bluefish, Hitch & The Giddyup, Beninghof Walton, Alex Karalekas, Sabrina & The Groovers, Nate D’Angelo, Jason Nichols, The Jemima James Band w/Rose Guerin, Crooked Coast, Good Night Louise, The Lynguistic Civilians, Black Brook Singers and The Chandler Blues Band.

TPS is working toward the annual MV SOUND Festival (which will resume in 2017) becoming a zero-waste event. In 2015, festival-goers were provided free water refills available to anyone who brought their own vessel, as well as compost and recycling containers throughout the grounds. MV SOUND also teamed up with Preserve Products, a B-Corporation that provided recycled #5 polypropylene dishware and utensils that was available at most food vendor booths. Vendors provided information about the sourcing of their local produce and sustainable materials.

Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to get involved with MV SOUND 2017!
